| For over a decade, husband and wife team Ramona and Craig Day have provided a contemporary dining experience in charming Rockport, Texas. Specializing in fresh, local seafood, Latitude 28°02` has come to be known as a culinary gem and favorite watering hole among the locals. Even from a young age, Craig showed great interest in the culinary arts while growing up in Corpus Christi, Texas. He began his career in food service as a line cook, but quickly moved up the ranks to sous chef before becoming head chef. It`s during these formative years when Craig discovered his affinity for fresh, regional seafood and developed his own unique culinary style around those ingredients. Craig`s wife, Ramona, grew up in Portland, Texas where her family owned and operated a catering business. It`s there that a grade-school age Ramona washed dishes and helped her mother bake cakes. Waitressing helped put Ramona through college and gave her the food service experience she needed to make Latitude 28°02` one of the most successful restaurants in Rockport, Texas. | |
